CloudLinux Offered on A2 Hosting Web Hosting Packages

CloudLinux is now being offered by Linux hosting company, A2 Hosting, on each of its Web Hosting packages.

As the first commercial OS that meets the specific needs and demands of web hosting providers, CloudLinux provides a stable environment even in the most extreme hosting situations.

CloudLinux was designed from the start to prevent a single resource-hogging Web Hosting account from crashing or even slowing down a server. Instead, it allows sysadmins to finely adjust the resources available to an account so that a resource spike effects only that account’s web site. Allowing precise control over the resources available while effectively isolating one account from another, CloudLinux Lightweight Virtual Environment (LVE) effectively cages each user.

Customers can easily upgrade their account to a Managed VPS Hosting package for a seamless transition, if a site hosted at A2 Hosting continues to experience a resource spike. Designed for shared hosting, CloudLinux is the only commercial-supported server operating system which is fully CentOS and RHEL compatible. By effectively isolating Web Hosting accounts from one another, CloudLinux has made a name for itself by increasing reliability, the company stated in a press release.

Recently, Gazzang, a cloud hosting company, unveiled its ezNcrypt data security solution for the CloudLinux platform, a RHEL compatible Linux Operating System (OS) that improves the stability of shared hosting and multi-tenant environments. ezNcrypt is an easy to implement solution for encrypting MySQL database transactions and data. The solution's patent-pending transparent data encryption (TDE) process auto-encrypts MySQL data at rest with dual authentication keys.
