Xangati Supports Virtualization Efforts at Target Australia
By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor
Xangati, a provider of infrastructure performance management solutions, announced that Target (News - Alert) Australia, a retailer, is implementing its Infrastructure Performance Management (IPM) solution to manage the retailer’s virtualization efforts.
Leveraging the Xangati (News - Alert) VI Dashboard, Target Australia will be able to obtain a huge value from their virtualization investment. In addition, the retailer is expected to reduce the time it takes for problem resolution through its comprehensive, continuous and real-time views into Target's physical and virtual infrastructure, company officials said.
The Xangati VDI Dashboard is designed to track all key infrastructure components that affect virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) performance, giving administrators the confidence and ability to successfully implement large-scale VDI deployments.
"Target's partnership with Xangati has enabled our business to efficiently support a medium- to large-scale VMware deployment, giving us the ability to better manage our infrastructure by displaying all dynamic interactions between critical virtualized resources on one central dashboard," said Paul Watmough, delivery center manager of technology services, Target Australia.
Moreover, Xangati's Performance Health Engine, an element of its VI Dashboard solution can alert Target Australia's IT managers to potential problems through a real-time health index that continuously monitors the status of every object impacting the virtualized environment.
"Xangati's partnership with TrackITOnline allows us to bring our virtualization management solutions to the rapidly growing Australian and New Zealand virtualization markets, significantly deepening our international reach Down Under," said Greg Dumas, vice president of worldwide sales, Xangati, in a statement.
This deal is very significant, as many Australian organizations are turning to virtualization for cost saving benefits. However, Australian companies are concerned about their ability to manage these new environments with existing tools.
"As our customers turn to virtualization, we are committed to provide them with the best available tools to manage and monitor these new IT environments," said Phil Lancaster, director, TrackITOnline, Xangati's distribution partner. "We focus on partnering with the technology providers that deliver the highest performance possible."
