SevenL Networks Inc. Secures Elusive Domain, Begins Branding Upgradation
By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor
SevenL Networks Inc., a managed web server provider, recently announced that it has successfully secured a 7L.com domain for an unknown amount from a private entity. The company has been trying to come to an agreement with the earlier owner of the domain for a while now, but a number of obstacles cropped up during the process of negotiation, most of them based on pricing.
The company is now making plans to rebrand their organization with 7L as the name since this is one that is already popular with its users. In a bid to get the ball rolling, they have already begun using this term in their customer communications.
In a release, Cassius Adams, SevenL co-founder said, “I'm very excited that the process is finally over and that there was a mutual agreement. We now have a website address that's different enough for people to take notice of the new brand, but not so different that our customers get confused. Plus, having a short, simple, two-letter domain is fantastic. Very cool. Not many online businesses can claim the same.”
With this domain comes ample opportunity for the company to begin handling an increased demand for managed web hosting solutions from its users.
Adams also said “Managed hosting clients are generally less caught up in the technical details of their web hosting service. Just keep things simple and make it work is what we usually hear from them. How better to compliment that line of thought than with a ridiculously-simple domain”.
Internally, the organization will continue its operations under SevenL Networks Inc., which is the official title of incorporation for some time to come.
SevenL Networks provides business owners with customized IT hosting solutions that encourage success and provide security. Among the services, are managed and unmanaged dedicated servers, virtual private servers (VPS) as well as cloud hosting, colocation, and other data center requirements.
